a month agoI waited 3 hours for a sti test and for someone to see me which they never did see me and they didnt even process my test I had to go to a different place to retake a test, not only was I dismissed but I watched people who came after me go before me within 20 minutes of arrival. How I was treated wasnt OK the stares from the staff made me uncomfortable and uneasy definitely never going back.

5 months agoI brought my mother in and at first a wonderful team and the RN was great...they only said her oxygen was low but kept saying she qas very sick but would tell us nothing...out of nowhere they had ambulance there to take her to royal alex which neither of us were aware of...then when my mom said she didnt wanna go they were gonna try to form 1 her??? Which is basically saying shes being held against her will and that she is not me tally stable or is at risk of harming herself or others!!! How disgusting!!!

6 months agoI would like to note that this review is based only on that of the lab and an associate that works within the lab. To start: I waited for nearly an hour to get a blood test. It was long enough for the Reception to question why I was still sitting there for as long as I was. She said it shouldn't be much longer but wanted to ensure I hit the buzzer correctly. All was done properly, so I went back to waiting patiently. Note that I was the only person waiting for labwork. 10 minutes later I went to a different Receptionist as the other gal was on break, she checked into it and said they were all busy in the back. I was to assume they meant the acute care on the Northside of the building required their attention. Within a few minutes a young lady that had done my bloodwork in the Spring escorted me in. I asked as to why it took so long. She cited the fact that she had been on a break and they are shortstaffed, nothing to do with the Acute care portion of the building. She seemed fine in answering the question as I said that's crappy you are so shortstaffed. She had also told me in the Spring they were short staffed. As she was about to take blood from me another gal gave her the phone receiver to answer a question. I'm even fine with this and continued to wait. However today it was obvious she was overworked, stressed out to the max and overwhelmed. This still does NOT give her the right to behave as she did toward me. She told the person on the phone line she was attending to another client and ended the call. She then started in with me asking if I had a Dr at that facility. When I had said no, I was berated for being there and made to feel small and like an imbecile while pointing out signage. It wasn't necessarily the message, it was the tone. She started on about only having a certain amt of supplies for the facility and shortstaffed etc etc. I said well it was my understanding as I was told before that technically a patient cannot be refused. She said well you were told prior and persisted to come here. She chastised me like I was a child and wouldnt stop. Since when is AHS staff or otherwise able to ban us from getting bloodwork at an AHS laboratory? In addition to her behaviours there are signs all over indicating that WE are to have respect for them, but she had NOT a sniff of respect for me given her tone and demeanor. It was mind-boggling to how I was treated. After all said and done, I had said I will go elsewhere at which point she quipped, well you are here now so I can do it. I said not a chance and walked out, she scoffed under her breath. Why would I ever let anyone put a needle in my arm that had such distain for me and treated me like proverbial garbage? This girls name is Loshi. I hope she does an about face and realizes that she has no clue why someone is there or what they are going through and perhaps rethink how she comes across to patients. Otherwise, I believe she is in the wrong line of work. Do not take out on me the fact that you are overworked and shortstaffed. Your line of work is very sensitive and it requires care and understanding. You were not treated disrespectfully don't do it to others. I did not yell, scream, swear, call you a name. There was NO disrespect on my part so dont dish it out to others. I'm still reeling from the way you spoke to me and treated me. Shame on you Loshi, shame on you.

6 months agoWaited 4 hours for a Urine test. 4 freaking hours. To pee in a cup and be told whether I’m fine or not. I got here at 5pm, opening time. And I doubt I’ll be leaving until 10pm, when they close.
