Good experience, new to province so no family doctor yet. I went in and arrived early to wait outside on a Thursday. It was colder (-1°C), and I was the first one outside 35mins before. Next person showed up 15mins before open. Plenty of street parking in nearby neighborhood. Clinic was very clean and staff were respectful and professional. They triage and bring you in based on severity of all registered patients, not first come first serve, which is made clear before. Nurse Practitioner (Ann) that helped me was very friendly and thorough, and politely asked if a student was okay to observe. Presented treatment options and what to expect very clearly.

We brought our sick child to our neighbourhood urgent care clinic and I honestly can’t say enough good things. Every single staff member was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and genuinely kind. My toddler was sick and cranky, and the team showed so much patience, gentleness, and extra TLC. A special thank you to Nurse Practitioner K, who was absolutely wonderful with my child- calm, compassionate, and reassuring throughout the visit. Nurse S was also amazing and was able to give medication to my child so efficiently, even when he was at his crankiest. We never felt rushed, and everything was explained clearly. As a parent, there’s no better feeling than knowing your child is in safe, capable hands. I truly felt at ease knowing my little one was being taken such good care of. We’re so grateful for the compassion and care from the entire team.

I cannot say enough good things about Southeast Urgent and Primary Care Centre. I have a family doctor who unfortunately dismissed the symptoms I had been experiencing. I went to emergency several times with shortness of breath, and my symptoms were still dismissed. I was sick for over a month with nightly fevers, and no one seemed willing to take a deeper look. When I finally went to Southeast Urgent and Primary Care Centre, the nurse practitioner I saw immediately took my concerns seriously and referred me for an X-ray right away. It turned out I had a serious lung infection and I was promptly sent to the hospital to receive the care I needed. I’m so grateful to the NP who helped me — I only wish I could remember her name to thank her properly. On another occasion, after surgery, I was discharged without proper after-care instructions or supplies. I was stuck trying to get answers from the hospital and didn’t even have basic wound care supplies or antibiotics for my incision. I went back to Southeast again, and nurse practitioner Stephanie went above and beyond to help me. She looked into my surgery details, reviewed my care instructions, provided the antibiotic ointment I needed, and advised me on when to have my staples removed. This care centre has eased my anxiety on multiple occasions when I felt let down by the broader healthcare system. The staff here truly listen, act quickly, and care deeply about their patients. I’m incredibly thankful for the compassion and thorough care I’ve received. Highly recommend.

AT 10AM, I visited Southeast UPCC upset after being refused at the Metrotown UPCC. Their NURSE literally told me "WE WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR YOU, GO TO ER". With zero empathy, zero medical explanation. I was truly disappointed at the local medical system. My case was early stage of 4th recurring abscess. So I knew even ER wouldn't do any further treatment like drainage or surgical step unless I have a fully grown abscess. Which is frustrating. The register staff at Southeast UPCC promptly helped me by asking a few short questions. After 30 min, nurse called me and she checked my vital & blood pressure. She asked the pattern of my abscess, exact location, my travel history etc. She explained me the possible reason Metrotown UPCC pushed me to ER. But she assured me the Doctor here will give me THOROUGH ASSEMENT. She was PROFESSIONAL, TRUSTWORTHY and RESPECTFUL to patient. After 2.5 hours of waiting to see a doctor, I noticed ALL the patient in the lobby arrived there later than me and some of them got called by doctor and left already. I felt it's unfair they less prioritize the potential worsen of my chronic abscess. I end up voiced up at the registration asking the potential waiting time and how many people coming later than me are sicker than me. Register staff kept politeness and responsive attitude to my upset tension. Right after the talk, nurse took me to the room and kindly explained there are still more patients ahead of me. She let me lay down on the bed with pain pills with water and warm blanket. The CARE and EMPATHY she showed me calmed my anxiety and pain down. After 1 hour of resting on the bed, doctor entered the room. She listened to my symptom and previous patterns carefully. She THOROUGHLY examined my abscess by seeing, touching, comparing with normal side, even swapping it to send to the lab for viral/bacterial test. She was THE ONLY doctor who actually examined it unlike the previous walk-in doctor who simply diagnosed antibiotic every time. She gave me enough explanation about various trigger, possible reoccurrence, future medical options when it occurs again. I appreciate the entire team for transparent communication, empathy to patient, professional medical view.

I usually have no issues here. The nurses are great and as long as you get there at certain times the wait isn’t so bad. What I don’t understand is that if they state they are open till 10 pm should they not continue to take patience till at least 9:30? My husband went once at 7:30 they wouldn’t take him and told him to go to emergency instead. I went another time with my mother in law at 8:30 and was also denied. Should say closing time is way earlier if you are not going to take patients till the said time!
