WELL Health Medical Centres - Burnside (Formerly Burnside Family Medical Clinic)

This once great clinic has turned to a complete mess since becoming part of the jack Nathan health system. Doctors are still great, but everything else about the place (making appointments, trying to call, prices) has become a nightmare.

After trying to call urgent care centres, signing up for multiple online appointments apps with no luck, I headed to the Burnside Walk in clinic without expectations. Barbara at the desk was amazing. They were at capacity for the day but she took the time to ask me what I was needing to see a doctor for. I explained I have possible whiplash or concussion and it happened at work and I have had no luck seeing a doctor. She went down ans spoke with the clinic doctor who agreed to take me even though he was done for the day. I felt cared for, the team was compassionate and professional. I was in and out within. 15 min. Thank you Barbara and the doctor who is filling out my WCB forms!

Call at 730am they say. Call a million times and get a busy signal Then when you finally do get thru they don't answer!!! And answering machine says call back but you can't leave a message. absolutely ridiculous 🙄 The actual doctor that works downstairs just rushes you out and doesn't give a chance to explain symptoms. Like what kind of doctor doesn't check your blood pressure when you're having chest pains?!?

Christmas and new years made it impossible for me to check on the healing of a surgical wound but on the 2nd of January I was able to see Dr. M. Zafarullah and I was very happy that he was so efficient and pleasant. Also very kind. It's scary to be without a doctor when you have a heart condition, medications and questions about your healing process. Many thanks to the kind staff and Dr. Zafarullah for reassuring me that my healing was proceeding well!
