Sunshine Medical - Taylor

Came on a Sunday morning exactly when they opened. The receptionist took my information and asked me to sit down and wait. I was the only one here. After 20 minutes of waiting, I inquired about if someone was ahead of me and what the wait was about... only then did she tell me that the Doctor was in fact not there yet. Seems like something you would mention off the top and not waste my time! I then had to ask the receptionist to call the doctor to see about their wearabouts as that felt concerning to me that they had not contacted their place of work if they were going to be late. She noted that she would text her... i politely asked if she could call. After no response and waiting for 45 minutes, the doctor had still not shown up yet, and the receptionist apologized, however did not seem overly concerned that the person that was supposed to be working had not shown up yet... ultimately a huge waste of time from a clinic that typically does good work. Frustrating morning.

Went to this clinic for the first today. Receptionist was prompt and pleasant. I was told the wait time would be 30 minutes at check in. I was seen by Dr. Onuoha. What a lovely, caring person. He listened attentively, did a thorough assessment and provided water for me to drink when I got a coughing spell. I appreciated being seen and heard.

I saw Dr Lucy once as a walk-in patient and asked if she was accepting patients as I needed a family doctor, she accepted me as a patient qnd I was scheduled for my new patient intake appointment, which was a total joke, she only spent about 10mins with me. I then scheduled another appointment, after waiting over a month for the appointment reception left a voicemail letting me know Dr Lucy needed to reschedule. I called them back to reschedule and the earliest they said Dr Lucy could see me was over two months away. At that time I decided to get a different family doctor. Despite only seeing Dr Lucy twice new doctor still wanted me to have my chart transferred from Dr.Lucy...RECEPTION REFUSES TO TRANSFER MY CHART UNLESS i pay them $50!!

I went in the morning and was lucky that only one person was before me. The administrator/nurse got me into a room fairly quickly, and I was seen by the doctor within 20 mins. Doctor did a detailed assessment on my concerns, and called me the next day at 8:30pm the in EVENING to tell me I’m ok, which usually doesn’t happen! I am very grateful for the care I received. Thank you, Dr. Onuoha! Please be kinder to our healthcare workers as this is a very demanding profession.

I cannot express what an excellent clinic. If you need care please give them the opportunity you will be glad you did. I had to go last Sunday first right from the front desk to the doctor care was their main concern. Then I decided to check how things were going to I went yesterday different front desk person and doctor. What was not different was their care? Happening twice shows their culture to provide caring care to their clients. Thank you I appreciate and value what you bring to our medical field
