St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton King Campus

Thank you for helping me yesterday. They got me in and out really quickly about 5 pm yesterday. They gave me a steroid yesterday while I was there and it opened up my airways and relieved me from brain zaps and neck pain that was more painful than childbirth. I will forever be grateful for how nice everyone was with me. Totally different experience from dealing with other emergency situations. Very nice staff there.

I visited August 31st for a laceration to the tip of my finger I still had blood dried up around the wound at the time I was seen by my Dr, the nurse before hand had suggested glueing my wound to which I replied that I would prefer a stitch. I’ve never been glued before and wanted the stitch because it seemed like the better option giving the location of the injury they proceeded to glue over my injury uncleaned. I was tired and I left. I woke up the next morning it’s opening up slowly and I am forced to come back and wait again. Dissapointing patient care. My wound could have at the very least been cleaned before sealing bacteria into it. This will be my last time coming here.

Went in with chest pain, tightness in my chest, burning sensation and pain on left upper back. Doctor was very rude, did not listen attentively. Ordered a ECG. Nurse came to check me, threw a piece of paper on the bed and said “you are good to go” and walked away. No time to ask questions or discuss anything. Left all of the tabs on my body. I have a prescription for heart burn.

I just ate at the canteen in the psychiatric ward of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, level 10. They get their turkey schnitzel from an American company.. why is that? Are you telling me that Turkey schnitzel is not available in Canada that is made from a Canadian company. Please explain that to me.

I came in yesterday with some health concerns which also came with a ton of anxiety. From the front desk to the nurses and doctor, everyone was very kind and empathetic. I was feeling very faint and panicked during the IV process, and the staff were very comforting and helpful. I wish I got to thank them personally because they made the experience a lot better.
