Appletree Medical Centre

Today, February 27th, I went to Appletree at 225 Preston St at 10:00 AM and was seen around 10:40 AM. I went there for the first time to see my family doctor, Dr. Fahim,.I had never seen a dr fahim before. The reason was that I have a history of cysts, and on February 8th I went to the emergency at General with severe pain on my right side. After the ultrasound, they said I had a cyst that had ruptured, causing the pain, and that I needed to speak with my family doctor to schedule a follow-up ultrasound. But when they did the ultrasound report, they said what the problem was, but they didn't say that what ruptured was on the left side, but on the right side (they put the wrong side in the report). But okay, I went there today, the nurse was nice, spoke well to me, I explained the reason for being there, then the doctor came and I explained again about the cyst on the left side and that I needed him to schedule the follow-up ultrasounds, and he already knew about the cyst and the report. cancer, that cysts happen, that I already had a ultrasound on the 8th and that it hasn't expired yet, that he won't schedule an ultrasound because where I went for the ultrasound they made a mistake in the report, that I had to go there and tell them to change it, then he'll schedule a cyst follow-up for me. I said yes, it really does say right side, but I know, I went to the emergency room with pain on my right side and they said it was a cyst, and Dr. Fahim put the iPad in my face and said, "Read this, do you know how to read it? It says right side, not left." He left the room, printed the report, gave it to me, and said he won't schedule it because the report says one thing and I'm saying another. Then he left the room and I stayed sitting, and he said, "Are you waiting? We're done. He was rude, used a harsh tone, wouldn't let me speak, and was unprofessional. It was something simple he needed to do, and he was very rude and ill-mannered. I know what I'm talking about because I was the one who went to the emergency room; he just needed to schedule the follow-up appointment, regardless of whether it was on the right or left side. First and last time there, and he certainly won't be that rude and ill-mannered doctor who doesn't let patients speak anymore, and he will no longer be my family doctor.

I had a great experience here! Although I booked an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room due to the walk ins, the staff was extremely friendly and explained the situation to me. Dr. Saad Hussain is such a great doctor! His communication style is amazing and is very personable and knowledgable.

I drove one hour from Almonte to this walk‑in clinic because their website listed the wait time as 30 minutes. I checked in, and then waited two full hours without being seen. When I asked the front‑desk staff for an update, I was told that the doctor was seeing appointments first. If that’s the case, I genuinely don’t understand why they continue accepting walk‑ins or why the posted wait time is so misleading. It’s extremely frustrating to lose three hours of my day between driving and waiting, only to leave without any care at all. This experience was disappointing and avoidable. Accurate wait times and clear communication would have made a huge difference. I will be reporting to head office and ministry.

I walked in last week and was seen within an hour. Check-in was easy and quick as it's self-serve. The physician was very quick and efficient. Guardian Pharmacy is connected to the clinic which is very convenient to get prescriptions right after your visit.

Very disappointing experience. The nurse showed no empathy whatsoever, as if I were invisible, and Dr. Hussain was extremely rude and condescending. He spoke in a way that made me feel belittled and unwelcome. I even overheard him tell the nurse to “just get him out of here,” which was very upsetting. I was sick, yet he said I was fine. I left feeling unheard and poorly treated. No wonder this place is so poorly rated. I do not recommend this clinic at all!!!
