Strandherd Medical Centre (NOT A WALK IN CLINIC)

My elderly mother is a patient here. This is a very busy clinic, as most doctors' offices are. Stranheard medical has a very friendly nurse who is excellent with the patients. Dr. Goulets seems like a friendly competent physician. I really like their after hours clinic which is a great feature. In my opinion this is a very well run and organized clinic.

My wife and I have be going to this clinic for about 20 years and over the past few years had our appointments arranged by Jane who goes out of her way to assist you. We have had the pleasure of meeting Melanie who is not only great with the patients but a wonderful person. Then there is Dr Aggarwal who we consider to be a geat Doctor as she is always prepared to listen to your problem and make you feel great after the visit.

It was a very unfortunate experience. I went to this location so that I could have after-hour service. This location helps another office where my regular doctor is. So, I do a urine test first while I wait for the doctor to see me. Then I went to see the Lady Doctor who wanted me to do my own vaginal swab. After I asked her to do it for me, because I would have difficulties, she insisted I do it myself, and then finally did it for me. I explained my situation of why I was there and was cut off, and not able to further explain my situation and symptoms. I went in on Thursday. I called on Friday and could not reach anyone, and then it was the weekend. I was not notified of my results until the following week Wednesday and that was only after I had made 6 phone calls. I never received a call from this office. I reached someone on the following Wednesday. The front desk girl told me they did not have them. I said that's impossible. They said they do not have them. I called my own doctor’s office again and they did not have them. I had to call over 6 times to get their story straight. When I reached someone, the front desk girl asked me my name four times. my date of birth twice. She could not confirm even their location where they were located, when asked if they were in the same plaza as Heart & Crown, the call was so strange that I wanted to make sure I was calling the right place. She could not find my name in the computer and was struggling, even though I had been there several times. She could not locate me in the system and continuously asked me what I had done and what test results I was looking for. I said I am at work right now with people around me and I cannot explain, but you will see it in my file. I said I can’t keep calling all day and leaving the office to call for privacy. She then asked me again two more times for my name and DOB, finally another girl came on the phone to assist, and asked me the same thing all over again. I said, can you not just see my name on the computer she has just asked me several times. She said we all have our own desks, and she is new. I said, well if she is new then why isn't she beside you she clearly is not able to be on her own yet. Then I was told they had the results the very next day after I had attended and that my doctor's office has the results. I said they did not have them ...so I had to hang up and call my doctor's office again, and they did not have them. So, I called back again, and they had to send them. I asked them why I wasn’t called or notified or why they weren’t sent to my doctor’s office? After all of this. The manager called me to let me know I am no longer welcome at the clinic because I called the staff stupid and slow, which I did not. The manager also told my doctor’s office to inform them that I am no longer welcome at their clinic and chose to tell me that even the staff at my doctor’s office was not surprised by my behavior. The manager tells me all of this, without even speaking with me first. Ive been pee'ing blood for a month nobody notifies me of results, and the doctor didn't even order an ultrasound, and I'm now told not to go back because how I treated the staff was unacceptable. Thank you for your consideration, and your justification of doing such a mediocre job and representing the medical field, which you clearly do not have the patience for or the respect. I was accused, spoken to like I'm a criminal, while she indicated she had two witnesses. . The manager defends her staff without any information from me. The Manager is comfortable with telling a sick person not to come back to the office, instead of trying to rectify the problem. I guess if they keep kicking people out who are nervous and sick, frustrated, and trying to be proactive about their health give her the right to make these decisions. When the staff is not capable, we must take responsibility for our own health.

Our doctor was good but would give a negative score to this clinic if I could. -Never answer your phone calls, have no email contact, unable to leave any voicemails. After they eventually pick up your phone call after maybe 100 calls, the receptionist will blame you why you called so many times. -10 min late for our new born baby’s first vaccination, the receptionist asked us to go home and even ask us to pay a $60 non show fee? (Without any previous notice / appointment confirmation) is it legal? - AVOID this clinic if you can!

Warning to Anyone who’s looking for doctor, you should NOT go to this clinic, because they are: 1. 99/100 times, unable to pick up patient phone call. And has no waiting list on the phone line. They will also be mad at you if you keep trying to call them. 2. Appointment confirmation email is unreliable. Sometimes there is email, sometimes nothing. 3. Front desk is cold hearted and mean. Especially the dark skin woman and the white woman who wears glasses. They resist to help patient and only give you cold robotic response.
