4 months agoWhat is the point of having a number is you are going to put patients on hold all the time? And it would be nice to at least send a cancellation email or text. I had a call scheduled with a doctor last Wednesday for a very important matter. They didn't even bother cancelling I had a hunch and after waiting for the call that didn't happen I called the clinic and the nurse didn't even know what to say. I am supposed to have a call today at 16h30. We will see how it goes. But I am thinking of requesting another doctor.

2 months agowhen i first was booked here by 811 and went to see the reviews i was very apprehensive but i needed to go to urgent care above all. front desk staff were ok nothing out of the ordinary, the triage nurse who saw me for both my in person appointments ( who i’m totally blanking on their name ) was so kind and reassuring and was exceptionally quick at her job. i was shortly seen by Dr. Saklas after the initial triage and i can surely say i’ve never had such a dedicated and kind medical professional take care of me in my 30 odd years. in my opinion he has gone above and beyond in following up with me and calling me periodically with updates to my situation and was prompt and professional in everything he did. I am super thankful to this team and Dr. Saklas for helping me through this time and i cannot recommend enough. Often as a marginalized person, the public healthcare system is a daunting minefield to navigate and in what i consider this to have been a dire healthcare moment for me i was accompanied through a lot of it by caring professionals who are still making sure i’m receiving the care i need.

4 months agoThe receptionist had a rude tone and kept putting me on long holds without asking. The doctor was supposed to call me at 8 AM, now it is afternoon and I don't get an apology. Just "he is busy and will call later". When I asked her politely do you have any idea around what time (as I am at work), she abruptly said "I don't!". Our time as patients also matters and we also deserve respect. A rescheduling notification from them would've been courteous. There is an old lady who works at the reception too and she is amazing.

5 months agoThe behaviour of the receptionist was not only rude but also disrespectful. I felt like she is my boss or she pays check for my living. Very very disrespectful behaviour. They should train their staff to be respectful. If they are expecting respect they should give the same to the patients who are not visiting the hospital for fun. Nobody is free enough to give visit to the hospital like that. They should understand that there is actually some emergency because of which people are coming.

3 years agoTriage : The nurse leaves the door open and said" don’t touch my door" when I tried to close it when it was my turn. Respect of Confidentiality 0. I was waiting nearby to see the doctor: I could hear everything that was going on the room and other people problems. The doctor: I was taken care by a resident and a senior nurse. The doctor was kind and offered a good service. The nurse was providing good support to the doctor and helped me feel comfortable during my tests. Thanks to the both of them. As someone with no family doctor I’ve been to a lot of emergency clinics and this one : 1 star for the service offered by the secretary and triage nurse, but 5 star for the doctor and nurse who treated me. There’s also miscommunication between the clinic and 811 service for appointment's.
