2 months agoI’ve been in Edmonton for over 15 years and I’ve always struggled to find a family doctor that either retired or closed practices without letting me know. So when I found Dr.Anyabolu I was so relieved she is the most thorough, understanding and caring I’ve ever had. Yes there is times where I have to wait even though I’ve made an appointment but when we had our meet and greet she let me know that this may be the case because she likes to spend time with every patient and hear them out before diagnosing them. So I keep this in mind when I wait because I know she’ll give me the same time. I can also call before my appointment and check to see how long the wait is and come then. So overall I’m just so happy with my doctor and the staff at the front desk have always been great. And I’ve recently had a baby and I look forward to having her as our family doctor for as long as she is practicing (I hope that’s forever).

2 months agoIf I could give zero stars, I would. We came in after my boyfriend was in a car accident and was experiencing head pain, neck pain, back pain, and arm pain, with a possible concussion. We were told to arrive 10 minutes early for a 2:15 appointment, yet he wasn’t seen until 2:30 — clearly our time meant nothing. The doctor ( Carl Rosenstock) was dismissive, rude, and showed zero concern for someone dealing with multiple injuries after a collision. He did the absolute bare minimum, ordered no tests, and barely examined him. Instead of focusing on my boyfriend’s health, he made an unprofessional and completely inappropriate comment saying my boyfriend “wasn’t going to get any money” for his car. That comment was irrelevant, insensitive, and wildly out of line for a medical professional. The lack of care, empathy, and basic professionalism was shocking. This felt more like an inconvenience to them than a patient who was genuinely hurt. If this is the standard of care here, it’s concerning they’re allowed to treat anyone at all. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

3 months agoDoctors are great and all- zero problems with them. The medical assistants or medical receptionist are not. If you manage to email your doctor, just do so. They’re very unorganized and messy. They’l tell you to walk in, but when you do they’l send you home anyway with empty handed. Never walk, in just book an appointment. Basically useless. You’l be lucky if you talk to someone who actually knows what they are doing and not someone who’s like floating in the air.

2 months agoNot quite sure how to rate this; my doctor would get a 5, the clinic itself a 1. As other reviewers have noted, you need to be prepared to wait (I waited over an hour for my recent 10:30 am appointment). Add to that, my experience (on 3 occaisions) has been that the people who 'take your vitals' seem bored and disinterested. The person who took my BP and pulse today mostly just pointed at things. When you're waiting for ages and then have surly people as your first point of contact it creates a very poor impression. Staff training could do a lot to alleviate this - it costs nothing to have people say 'good morning', give a smile, and ask about your day.

a month agoIt was always so challenging to get a hold of the clinic whether the line was busy and just couldn't get through or being placed on hold for 15+ minutes. As I was writing this review I was on hold for 36 minutes when the hold music stopped I said "hello" and the call ended. I called back and was placed on hold for only about 5 minutes this time before getting through to someone. I cannot think of a single time I was seen within 20 minutes of my actual appointment time but honestly most of the time it was a much longer wait. The frustrating part is that the staff here seem to carry on like this is typical and a normal way things should function. I was a patient here for about 2 years and nothing changed. Hopefully than can do better in the future.
