Vancouver City Centre Urgent Primary Care Centre

I went to this urgent care facility for the first time yesterday & had a good experience. I didn’t have an urgent medical issue & had time to wait so wasn’t worried about sitting there. I brought a book :) I think my entire visit was wrapped up within 2 hours or so including x-rays. The staff were all pleasant, particularly one blonde nurse who I only interacted with briefly when she put me into the exam room but she seemed fun & warm with everyone. The facility itself was nice & clean.

I came here for the second time with an urgent issue and was told they are fully booked for the night. This was almost two hours before closing, and there was no one in the waiting area. It’s very hard to understand how the clinic could be fully booked under these circumstances. This was definitely a very disappointing experience.

I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted by the treatment of this medical facility towards my partner. She has gone in to have a medical issue checked on. The doctor has provided a referral sheet, suggesting two tests, and referred her to a certain clinic called Life Labs, explaining that this would be a good place to get the tests done. My partner decided not to go and get the tests done, for reasons which are her own business. The facility apparently SENT HER SWABS etc to the clinic, and got the test done anyway, without her even attending. She's now been sent a bill for over 200 dollars. Absolutely appalling. This is NOT what was agreed. What's worse, is that nobody even contacted her in 5 months to give her the results. When she called, she was simply informed that if there was an issue, they would have contacted her. Great. So, we are just supposed to wait and wonder? And magically know that everything is fine. So incredibly unprofessional. You should be ashamed of taking that money for her. You owe her not only a refund, but an apology. Be clear, straight forward and honest with your patients.

I had a wonderful experience at urgent care yesterday. The doctor and nurse were incredibly caring and attentive. They took the time to ask about how I was feeling and the nurse even asked how to pronounce my name correctly, which really touched me. They provided thoughtful suggestions and made me feel truly supported. Highly recommend their compassionate care! Thank you!

While I am lucky enough to have a GP sometimes the 1 week plus wait for an appointment is not viable. Coming to this Urgent Care Centre is a great stop gap. I have used this facility a few times and each time I have been impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the nurses and doctors I have encountered. I've been able to be seen by a nurse within 5-15 mins of arriving. Alas, the follow up with the doctor is invariably much longer. One time they did tell me it was going to be a 3 hour wait to see the doctor so I went home to and returned in time to be called.
