James Bay Urgent and Primary Care Centre

I have visited this clinic three times now and it is always a great experience. I most recently had nurse Annie and it was the best healthcare experience I have had in the last 10+ years. She did not rush me, listened to all of my concerns and noted them all, thoroughly assessed me, and gave me multiple options for speeding up recovery and pain management. Annie was so friendly and compassionate - the exact type of person who is perfect in the healthcare industry. I hope to have her again if I need to return, which is likely as this is always my go to urgent care clinic.

I had a great experience at this clinic. The reception staff, nurses, and phone operators were all very kind, friendly, and efficient. No one was impatient, and everything went smoothly. I had a very positive experience with James Bay Medical Clinic. While the system requires calling the 1-800 number and sometimes waiting, I received a professional and friendly call later in the afternoon and was seen in the clinic that same evening. The care was thorough, professional, and respectful. I’m grateful for the access to medical services in our community and for the excellent team at James Bay Medical Clinic.

Dr Reckon was professional, caring and thorough - did a proper clinical evaluation and picked up on something that another doc was too rushed and impatient for and didn't notice. Dr Reckon ordered tests, and was correct, and followed up. A wonderful doctor.

How is it possible that the clinic opens at 8:30, you call them exactly at 8:30, you are already 10th in line, and at 8:40 the receptionist informs that they are fully booked, and you can't see the doctor?! Why a person who needs healthcare is supposed to compete with someone else who needs help?
