I have had nothing but exceptional care at this clinic. I’ve recently been experiencing a recurring health issue and have been back several times. Each time I am listened to with empathy and the clinicians are always reassuring, with clear explanations of treatment strategies and next steps. I have had better care from the nurses and nurse practitioners here than I have ever had from a doctor. At one of my visits, when the nurse who was caring for me was taking notes, she purposefully told me that she was not speaking because of the note taking, but wanted me to know that she was still with me and that I could ask questions any time. So thoughtful and kind. The staff here truly make you feel seen and heard, and aren’t just trying to rush you out. The reception staff is also so kind (they actually look you in the eye!) and reassuring as well. Bravo, Access West Quick Care Clinic! Keep up the stellar work. They are truly making a positive impact on health care in Winnipeg.

I took my 96 year old mother here because of a sudden loss of hearing in one of her ears that wasn't clearing itself. Made an appointment through their online system and assumed she'd be seen by a doctor. Nope! It was a nursing assistant (if that's the right terminology) and a nurse who both looked at mom and determined that she had what appeared to be a perforated ear drum. They said she'd need to see a doctor immediately and sent her over to the Grace ER with assurances that they had already called ahead and we'd be seen within the hour. Well 'within the hour' turned into 5 and a half hours wait time when the triage nurse stuck us in the non-urgent category and told us she didn't know anything about being notified ahead of time. We finally left without being seen since mom was fed up and tired and so was I. Intake clerk at emergency wanted us to 'wait to see a nurse' before leaving, Hahaha not a chance they tried that trick on us at St. B before with a different issue a year ago and we sacrificed another hour before we'd had enough and walked. I'm calling around in the AM for an actual Doctor that will hopefully be able to diagnose her properly. Too bad because the people were nice and concerned but their pull with the emergency dept is non-existent so unless you've lost a limb or something don't believe what they tell you about being seen immediately by emerg. If you need a doctor go to a clinic that actually has one on staff at the time of your appointment. What a joke.

The wait time online said 1/2 hour, but it was closer to 2 hours from registration to being seen by the nurse practitioner. Once in, I was examined thoroughly and heard out. The nurse was very professional and caring. He prescribed me some medication for the pain, so I could make it through the long weekend before seeing my family doctor. I took one star off on the review for inaccurate wait time posted online.

They got me in fast yes. But I was going for a very intimate reason and they called my mom without leaving me a voicemail after calling twice, both times after hours so I couldn’t call them back. I know have something that wasn’t supposed to be shared or for family to know now knowing what I was doing there and what is wrong and I myself have yet to know the reason since my mom is too mad to let me know and the doctor who called decided after hours when I cannot call them back was a great time to call. This is my second time going and I was happy the first time but this time unhappy doesn’t reach how I feel about this whole situation. I hope someone who works there reads this and asks their patients in the future (who are adults as I am one) if they would like their parents to be informed or someone else because I would have liked someone else to be informed and I’m sure any other new adult who still had their parents as emergency contacts would feel the same. There is something very unprofessional about all of this and I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Staff is inexperienced, went into for uti symptoms have been suffering for weeks and finally decided to go seek help and was told I just need to keep good hygiene. Just go to urgent care. Update: went to shoppers and got a prescription for antibiotics in 5 mins, feeling a lot better today.
