Booked an apt for 5pm, spent 45 min in traffic to get downtown for said apt only to find the clinic closed. As if people have nothing to do but check emails between 3-5. Emergencies happen, I get that I work in healthcare, there’s no excuse for not calling to notify people. “Maple” was faster and cheaper!

I had a great experience here! I made an appointment online and didn’t have to wait at all, 10 minutes at most! NP Jamie Lee Potter was very kind and helpful, she seemed genuinely caring! The clinic wasn’t overcrowded at all, and they were able to give me the help I needed. I really recommend making an appointment online through their patient portal, it’ll make things much easier

I’ve been struggling with my mental health for months and finally got an appointment with Dr. Chiefetz in April. We scheduled a follow-up for this past Monday, and I received both a confirmation text and email. But when I showed up, I was told Dr. Chiefetz wasn’t even there, and no one bothered to notify me ahead of time. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time before receiving a cancellation text. I asked if there was anything they could do for me, since my meds were out, and was told "no." I asked if I could reschedule with someone else, and was told that wasn’t possible. I asked to speak with the manager, and after being brushed off, the staff member told me to call a complaint line myself. When I asked her to just give me the number, she muttered “What the hell” and said, “Let me Google it then.” Then, when I asked for her name and confirmation that the manager was on his way, she accused me of “harassing” her and called the cops on me. I hadn’t raised my voice once, but she threatened me with police involvement because I asked for basic information. The cops arrived, confirmed I did nothing wrong, and I was told I could return to the clinic only after the manager showed up, apologized, and gave me a follow-up appointment. I had to get an extension on my meds to hold out for this appointment. At my next appointment, I was told I could only get either a prescription renewal or a referral, not both—despite being told by the manager I’d get both. After more back-and-forth, I eventually got both, but it should’ve never been this hard. The staff also lied about when they found out Dr. Chiefetz wasn’t available, showing how poorly this clinic is run. This whole experience was a disaster. The unprofessionalism, rudeness, and complete disregard for my mental health made it clear that this clinic doesn’t care about its patients. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Edit: More than two months later, I finally got an appointment but this was shortly after I tried to deroster so I can finally get the proper help I need.

We waited in extreme cold outside the locked door of the clinic for 50 minutes as the doctor didn't show up (Appletree couldn't reach them by phone which demonstrates how poorly managed they are) and the medical assistant, who arrived half an hour late, had lost the key to the building. Absolutely unbelievable what our medical system has come to. Worst part of this whole scenrio is, there are NO OTHER WALK IN CLINICS other than Appletree!

Update: virtual appointment happened about a year later. Was a good appointment but just be prepared for long wait times. Initial walk in is great. However, the appojntments with psychiatrists never happen. Twice I had a 3 month in advance appointment which would be cancelled weeks or days before "due to unforeseen circumstances". I can't trust this place any more for getting stuff done. I wouldn't trust it unless you're here for immediate reasons.
