3 months agoThree days ago, my wife, my three-year-old son, and I visited our usual family doctor’s clinic because our son had been experiencing a fever for five days and was very uncomfortable. Both my wife and I had taken time off work to ensure he could be seen promptly. Since we were unable to reach the clinic by phone to book an appointment, we went in person and waited in the long walk-in line. Unfortunately, our regular family doctor, Dr. Farzan—who we have always found kind and knowledgeable—was unavailable, and we were instead offered an appointment with Dr. Cassam. After waiting for over an hour, it was finally our turn. From the outset, the doctor’s behavior was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. She angrily questioned why we had not brought masks from home and why we had taken two masks from the clinic, spending approximately five minutes aggressively explaining the mask policy. Whenever we attempted to speak or explain our situation, she repeatedly interrupted us, waved her hand, and said, “I’m not finished yet.” She then questioned why we had come to the walk-in clinic at all, insisting we should have called our family doctor. When we explained that the clinic was not answering the phone and that our son’s condition felt urgent, she again did not allow us to speak and repeatedly told us to “go to CHEO.” Throughout the visit, her attitude was dismissive and lacked basic compassion. As parents of a sick child, this experience was extremely stressful and upsetting. We only tolerated the situation because our son required medical attention. This experience was shocking and deeply disappointing, especially compared to the care we usually receive at this clinic.

4 months agoI went to this clinic today and had a great experience overall! I arrived at 9am and left with my prescription by 10:20am. The receptionist and the doctor were very nice, helpful and fast. There was only ten people in the waiting room so maybe that's why it was so quick to see the doctor. I came here once before and I was not impressed, but it was also very busy. This time though, I have no complaints at all. I'll definitely come back here again if I need to in the future.

4 months agoI visited the clinic for the first time today - I was surprised when I arrived at the front door and read the sign saying masks were mandatory inside but they didn't provide them. So I got myself a mask and then re-entered. It was my first time there so I had to fill in some paperwork. As I was a drop-in, I expected a fairly long wait and I was correct. It was over 90 minutes until my name was called. One note - there were signs reminding people about masks but many entered without one on which I found a bit irksome. They also have rules posted about no cellphone use or food/drink. None of these were enforced and TBH, almost everyone was reading their phone (perhaps the rule is for voice calls only). In any event, when I saw the doctor I was very impressed with his manner and professionalism. It was worth all the wait to receive such first-class care. I understand that the doctors rotate and YMMV but I had a good experience.

a month agoMy experience with this clinic was excellent. I went at 4:15, and was taken directly back and seen by a doctor within 5 minutes. The doctor was helpful, attentive, and kind. The receptionist was also very kind, and helpful. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Overall great experience.

4 months agoI would give them zero reviews if that option was available. Doctors are amazing there however the front desk staff has no work ethics especially that old white lady. That other Indian lady is fine but she only follows other lady's directions and doesn't have her own viewpoint or knowledge. That old white lady frequently interrupted our conversation, spoke in a dismissive and disrespectful manner, and did not demonstrate the professionalism expected in a healthcare environment. She has numerous complaints and bad reviews against her and she is still there. The management should investigate her and take appropriate actions. I believe such issues impact not only patient experience but also the overall reputation of the clinic. She doesn't know how to attend patients. She lied also and said that they have closed the registrations for the day when a second ago they were taking my info to see the doctor. Their voicemail clearly said they were taking walk in patients till 5pm. They are wasting other's money and time. I expect the management to take appropriate actions against that old lady. That lady needs to apologize for her bad behavior.
